The MSCWMO has secured funding from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for water quality improvement projects prioritized in the Lake St. Croix Direct Discharge Subwatershed Analysis.  Project dollars are provided by the Clean Water Fund (from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment). 2021 funded projects:

• Lake St. Croix Small Communities Urban Phosphorus Reductions Phase II- $158,000

2020 secured grant funding

The MSCWMO has secured funding from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for water quality improvement projects prioritized in the Lily Lake Stormwater Retrofit Feasibility and Design to Achieve State Water Quality Standards.  Project dollars are provided by the Clean Water Fund (from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment). This grant will provide funding for construction of a large regional filtration basin and an in lake alum treatment. Grant award amount is $513,500

• Lake St. Croix Small Communities Urban Phosphorus Reductions – $200,000

2018 Secured Grant Funding

The MSCWMO has secured funding from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for water quality improvement projects. Project dollars are provided by the Clean Water Fund (from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment). 2018 funded projects:

• Lake St. Croix Discharge Stormwater Retrofit Phase II – $33,440

2017 Secured Grant Funding

The MSCWMO has secured funding from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for water quality improvement projects. Project dollars are provided by the Clean Water Fund (from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment). 2017 funded projects:

• Lily Lake Stormwater Retrofit Feasibility and Design to Achieve State Water Quality Standards – $58,000
• Perro Creek Urban Stormwater Quality Improvements – $63,000

2016 Secured Grant Funding

The MSCWMO has secured funding from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for water quality improvement projects. Project dollars are provided by the Clean Water Fund (from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment). 2016 funded project:

• Lake St. Croix Direct Discharge Stormwater Retrofit Phase II – $151,500

2015 Secured Grant Funding

The MSCWMO has secured funding from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for water quality improvement projects. Project dollars are provided by the Clean Water Fund (from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment). 2015 funded projects:

• Lake St. Croix Direct Discharge Stormwater Retrofit – $142,000
• St. Croix River Association Funded Investigation Monitoring to Target Retrofits in the Lake St. Croix Watershed – $40,000

2014 Secured Grant Funding

The MSCWMO has secured funding from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for 2014 projects.  Project dollars are provided by the Clean Water Fund (from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment).  2014 funded projects:

• Lily Lake Stormwater Retrofit Project – Phase III – $109,000 grant
• Integrating MIDS into Local Ordinance and Zoning Code – $127,000 grant

2013 Grant Funded Projects

The MSCWMO has secured funding from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for 2013 projects.  Project dollars are provided by the Clean Water Fund (from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment). 2013 funded project:

• Quixote Avenue Stormwater Retrofit Project – $75,670 grant with $25,000 match from the City of Lakeland, MN

2012 Grant Funded Projects

The MSCWMO has secured funding from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for 2012 Projects. Project dollars are provided by the Clean Water Fund (from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment) for the following projects:

• Lily Lake Stormwater Retrofit Project – Phase II – $39,529 grant
• Lily Lake Stormwater Retrofit Project – Commercial Projects (Valley Ridge Mall and DiaSorin Properties) – $194,893 grant
• McKusick Lake Stormwater Retrofit Project – Phase I – $37,925 grant

The MSCWMO completed several large scale water quality improvement projects in 2011 using grant funding.
