The Middle St. Croix Watershed Management Organization (MSCWMO) produces a series of reports that outline and analyze data about the area.
Watershed Management Plan
Every ten years, the MSCWMO produces a plan to achieve the mandated goals for the area. The current plan was adopted in September 2015 and will lead the organization’s direction through 2025.
Annual Reports
The MSCWMO publishes an annual report detailing the previous year’s organizational operations, budget, and programs and projects. This report also sets objectives and establishes a workplan for the coming year.
Water Monitoring
Lakes, streams, and stormwater within the MSCWMO boundaries are monitored for pollutants, some nutrients, and clarity, among other parameters with the goal of improving water quality in the area. Current and previous water monitoring summaries can be found here.
Subwatershed Analysis
In addition to the yearly area summaries, specific assessments and plans have been produced for some waters in the MSCWMO. The goal of these assessments is to inform the work of the organization by evaluating the effectiveness of implemented projects, allowing for more thorough monitoring of parameters specific to a waterbody, and to make informed recommendations to improve water quality.
Subwatershed assessments and plans have been produced for the following bodies of water:
- Lily Lake
- McKusick Lake
- Perro Creek
- Lake St. Croix
